So it is that time of year again~
Time to make a plan and put it into action.
Right now, I feel like this ...
This is the stuff I could leave in my room. I have more at home and in storage. YIKES!!! I thought I was doing better at minimizing~ HA!
I look at what is in the room and really have to plan it out before I even start to move anything.
Going back to teaching all subjects means, more stuff! I am also in a new room this year. I have been in this room before, but I was kindergarten back then and everything was different.
I am at the "Where do I begin?" stage.
I am betting I will take this one home with me and paint there. I hate to waste my time at school painting. I am hoping it will fit some of my chapter books nicely and then I can rotate out the extra baskets. We will see ...
I love the back of the room.
I can't wait to dress it up!
Wish me luck, the madness starts on Aug. 6th!
Happy Classroom Designing!
Karen
Hi there
ReplyDeleteI love seeing photos of classrooms - especially one from scratch as you are. Keep the photos coming so we can watch your journey.
So glad you have stopped by! I am posting pictures tonight! I have made very little progress on my 1st day back. I was anticipating getting so much more done. Keep coming back. I am hoping I can give someone at least one fun idea. LOL There are so many GREAT ideas already out there! Happy Teaching!
DeleteI have just seen that your name is Karen Crawford - mine is Kerren Crawford! I am currently teaching 6 and 7 year olds. Which is year 1 and 2 in New Zealand. I have been a teacher for 21 years.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet you, Kerren Crawford! That is so neat! New Zealand, WOW, I wish I could go there. I love that through the internet we can connect to people all over and learn from one another. I am a better teacher because of it! I have been teaching for 17 years. We are pretty close in age :o) I wonder what else we have in common. I hope you will follow me so we can get to know each other better. Talk to you soon!
