Currently Linky Party

I have linked up with Farley for the Linky Party"  Currently August.  To get back to the start, go to
Oh' Boy 4th Grade to download your "Currently" page & get your blog on!  Thanks, Farley!!!

Here is mine:

Listening: While I work, I always play a movie that I have seen wayyyyyyyy too many times.  Tonight it happens to be Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone. Yes, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan!

Loving: I have really gotten my craft on over the last two weeks to start getting ready for my classroom.  This is the 1st year I will teach second grade &  I thought making my class beautiful would make it easier.  Got a few things up my sleeve for "Monday Made It."  Make sure you stop back by.

Thinking: Even though I have been very crafty the last couple of weeks, there is still so much to do!  I have not even started in my room since we can not get back in until the 7th.

Wanting: I am always wanting more time to just enjoy spending time with my kids & when teachers go back to work that time disappears.  Boo!!!!  I really enjoy staying up late & cuddling with my snuggle bugs!

Needing: I have such an old wardrobe ... since I am a poor teacher.  I really need to scrape some money together and go buy some clothes.  My poor son is probably embarrassed by some of my outfits.

Back to School must haves: Three items that are a must have are ... a laminator, laminator pouches,
and a great pencil sharpener .

Off to bed ... Night!
Happy Linking,
Karen

  1. I love teaching younger children and you get to be crafty! Also agree with the laminator suggestion - I bought one for the first time this year (it only took 9 years) and I have LOVED it!

I am your newest follower, I found you through Farley's blog!

  3. I totally agree with you, leaving our own babies is never easy is it? Once I get into the school groove I forget how awesome it is to spend time with my 3 but then come Christmas vacation and I am reminded how lovely again. I just tell myself lots of working moms don't get as much time as I do.

  5. Hopped over from the linky party!
I feel your pain about leaving your kids. My daughter is two and she can talk pretty well this year. The other day she told me she cried at daycare and when I asked why, she said, "I say, 'mama, mama.'"It's SOO hard to leave them!
On the other hand, the start of the schoolyear is kind of fun too. I love getting crafty as well!

  7. I love, love, LOVE my laminating machine...it has helped me out in a pinch - especially since our school uses a wax ink based color copier/printer & the print out ruins our laminating machine - no bueno. Good luck this year!!
